The questionnaire was sent in mid May 2007 and covered the current tissue and cell regulatory systems in Member States, including an update of the information provided in the first questionnaire circulated by the European Commission last year. The present questionnaire, starting from the results of the EC survey, investigated further developments during the last year and analysed in depth the practices, procedures and rules applied in the individual Member States. All partners participated in ensuring that the questionnaire reached the correct person in their Member State and in neighbouring Member States which are not partners in the project. The objective was that the Health Authority in each Member State completed the questionnaire. The Spanish team analysed the survey responses and produced a detailed report in October 2007. The report includes some evaluation of the systems in place and highlights effective and efficient approaches which can be used by other Member States as they develop equivalent systems. The Report on Inspection Systems is now available in this website. It is recognised that the situation is in constant development in most of the European Member States and that the information included in the report may quickly become outdated. Any Competent Authority for tissues and cells who filled in the Eustite questionnaire between May and June 2007 can ask for an update of the information provided in the Report at any time. It is indeed foreseen that the Report will be revisited later on the project to keep it up to date all through the project life. Competent Authorities can submit their requests for revisions to the Eustite contact email
